The “Gîtes de Ruffié” are located 3 km from the town of Foix, on the Route de St Pierre de Rivière, at the gateway to the Parc Naturel Régional des Pyrénées Ariégeoises, set within a large private estate close to the Arget river. The Gîte de l’Arget (rated 2-star furnished holiday rental) is ideal for two people, but can accommodate up to four, as a sofa bed is available in the living room.
Covered Arcade Terrace
Set on the ground floor at garden level, the gîte covers 40 m² with a ceiling height of 3.20 m, and features a covered arcade terrace — perfect for a morning breakfast in the early sun or a cool evening retreat. It comprises a bedroom with two windows (roller shutters), fitted with a 160 cm double bed, a wardrobe with desk, and a dressing table, with parquet flooring throughout. The living room opens onto the terrace through French doors and includes a lounge area with a sofa bed (BZ comfort mattress, 140 cm).
The bonus: In July and August, we offer complimentary access to our family swimming pool, with a private area reserved just for you.
The fully fitted kitchen, refurbished in 2025, is located within the living room. Household appliances are very well equipped (full list sent with the booking confirmation). The bathroom features an overhead shower over the bathtub, a washbasin, and a WC. The hallway provides large storage cupboards. Wi-Fi is available (the property has fibre optic broadband). The living room is equipped with a satellite digital TV. The private terrace includes outdoor dining furniture, a garden lounge set, and a barbecue. Parking is available right next to the gîte.
The Bedroom
The bedroom features two windows with roller shutters. It is equipped with a 160 cm double bed, a wardrobe, a desk, and a dressing table.
The Terrace
The living room opens onto a private covered terrace, furnished with outdoor dining furniture and a barbecue. Perfect for lovely evenings outside!
Garden Lounge
The covered terrace features a garden lounge area — the perfect spot to unwind after a day exploring the treasures of the Ariège.
The Living Room
The living room, which opens onto the terrace, features a cosy dining area, storage space, a convertible sofa bed, and a fitted kitchen.
The Kitchen
The fitted kitchen is located within the living room. It is very well equipped, including a mini oven, washing machine, microwave, 2 hobs, a sink, a refrigerator, and everything you need for cooking.
The Bathroom
The bathroom is spacious and understated, decorated in red and grey. It features an overhead shower over the bathtub, a washbasin, a WC, and a bidet.

Booking Conditions
- A security deposit cheque of €360 is required for the Gîte de l’Arget.
- The weekly rental covers seven nights. Arrival is on Saturday from 4:30 PM, and departure is on Saturday before 11:00 AM (the time window has been extended to allow for thorough cleaning and disinfection).
- A €25 discount applies for a second consecutive week.
- Short stays may be possible in spring (3 nights minimum) — please contact us for availability.
- Your booking will be confirmed upon signing the rental agreement and paying a 40% deposit of the total stay amount. This deposit may be fully refunded in the event of a cancellation due to a justified major reason (e.g. lockdown measures).
- In July and August, the gîte is rented by the week only, from Saturday to Saturday.
Good to Know
- The swimming pool is open in July and August only.
- We do not accept card payments. We accept cheques and cash only. Bank transfers must be completed before arrival.
- Bed linen rental is available at €14 per bed (must be requested at the time of booking). Towels are not provided.
Included at No Extra Charge
- Baby equipment: cot with mattress (or travel cot), high chair, and baby bath — please request at the time of booking.
- Parking: Secure parking spaces are available directly in front of the gîtes.
- Bicycle/motorbike storage: Available upon request — please bring your own padlock.
- Swimming pool access: Access to the owner’s pool during the opening period (July and August), subject to pool rules.
- The house rules and inventory list can be sent along with the rental agreement.
