Snow is everywhere, glistening in the sunshine, and the house that houses our gîte has an unusual charm in winter. The swimming pool is frozen, birds flock to the windows, and roe deer stray close to the houses, leaving traces of their tiny paws. The Ax-Bonascre ski resort, an hour's drive away, is fully booked. Snow depths of 100 to 200 cm, excellent snow quality, cold and sunny, all pistes and lifts open. Access is good so far. The Ax-les-Thermes thermoludic center with its hot thermal water pools (including one outdoors facing the mountains) welcomes skiers until the evening.
