gîtes: beware of scams.

I'd like to warn anyone wishing to rent a summer gîte. As soon as we put an advert on the bon coin, we fall victim to all sorts of incongruous requests, which are often "scams", aimed at embezzling checks, or renting our property in our place, without our knowledge. the methods are very sophisticated.

To protect yourself against these malicious acts, I can only advise you to visit our secure website, check our contact details and make sure we're listed in the FOIX tourist information office and in the telephone directory. That way, you can be sure you're dealing with the right person (i.e. Mr Pellet-Rostaing) and not someone pretending to be us.

Contracts, bookings and cheques can only be sent to Domaine de Ruffié in Foix.

We've already fallen victim to several of these false claims, and so far we've managed, with a great deal of vigilance, to guard against them.
